Leapmotor B10

2026-09-26 10:50:01

Model Overview

The Leapmotor B10 is a compact all-electric SUV built on Leapmotor’s LEAP 3.5 architecture, serving as the brand's first global model under its all-new B-series. Launched in China in April 2025, the model targets global, youthful, and tech-savvy buyers with an emphasis on "accessible intelligence" and high value-for-money. As of 2026, the Leapmotor B10 is available in five variants, with official retail prices ranging from RM99,800 to RM129,800. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4515×1885×1655mm (L×W×H) with a 2735mm wheelbase. As a 5-door, 5-seater rear-motor, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) A-segment EV SUV, its key rivals include the BYD Yuan PLUS and GAC AION Y.

Design Language

The Leapmotor B10 carries forward Leapmotor's signature minimalist high-tech design ethos. The front end features a closed-off grille paired with full-width LED daytime running lights and split headlamp clusters, with LED low and high beams standard across the range. The upper DRLs adopt a segmented layout, delivering a distinctive futuristic look when lit. From the side, it retains the classic compact SUV silhouette, with blacked-out B-pillars and a floating roof design enhancing its modern appeal; flush pop-out door handles help optimise aerodynamic efficiency. Around the back, the full-width horizon LED taillight bar integrates seamlessly with the high-mount stop lamp for sharp nighttime visibility. The overall styling is clean, understated, and timeless. Inside, the cabin features an uncluttered layout, replacing the conventional centre console box with an open dual-tier island design capable of fitting a 14-inch laptop. A key cabin highlight is the front passenger "magic dock" — a modular pegboard panel allowing fold-out tables, phone mounts, and other accessories to be fitted. Two interior colour schemes are available: Roman Purple and Bamboo Shadow Grey.

Powertrain & Performance

The Leapmotor B10 features a rear-motor, rear-wheel-drive layout across the range, offering two powertrain options. The standard-output version gets a 132kW permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 175Nm of torque, completing the 0-100km/h sprint in 9.3 seconds; the high-output version is powered by a 160kW motor producing 240Nm, hitting 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds. Battery options include two capacities: the 510km range model packs a 56.2kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack; the 600km range version steps up to a 67.1kWh pack. LFP chemistry with liquid-cooling thermal management comes standard across the board. With DC fast charging, a 30% to 80% state of charge takes just 19 to 20 minutes. A heat pump air-conditioning system and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) external power supply are also standard. In May 2026, a higher-output Leapmotor B10 variant (185kW motor) surfaced in MIIT regulatory filings, set to deliver even sharper throttle response and higher top speed.

Chassis & Handling

The chassis setup is a standout highlight of the Leapmotor B10. Up front, it rides on a MacPherson strut independent suspension paired with a rear multi-link independent setup. The chassis was jointly tuned by Leapmotor’s chassis team and Stellantis Group’s ride-and-handling specialists across China and Europe, striking a fine balance between dynamic handling and ride comfort. It features the brand's proprietary CTC 2.0 (Cell-to-Chassis) integrated battery technology, seamlessly integrating the battery structure with the chassis to enhance torsional rigidity and safety. Standard equipment across all variants includes C-EPS electric power steering and a One-box integrated braking system. Its RWD setup paired with a 50:50 axle weight distribution ensures planted cornering stability. A tight turning radius of around 5.25 metres makes it remarkably agile in tight city driving conditions. Drivers can toggle between three drive modes, steering weights, and regenerative braking levels. The chassis was honoured with the  "2025 Top 10 Chassis in China" award.

Cabin & Features

The cockpit is anchored by a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Running on the Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus interface, Qualcomm Snapdragon processors come standard across the range, with the LiDAR version upgraded to the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chipset. The system integrates dual AI voice large language models from DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen, supporting multi-turn conversations and dialect recognition. Standard equipment across the lineup includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 540° panoramic camera system, a heat pump air-conditioning system, and Sentry Mode. In terms of creature comforts, mid-to-high variants feature a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunblind, heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, a 15W wireless phone charger, powered tailgate, and a 12-speaker audio system. Cabin roominess is impressive thanks to an 87.4% space efficiency rate, complemented by a completely flat rear floor, a 420-litre boot expandable to 1,415 litres, and 22 storage cubbies throughout the interior. The front seats can also recline fully flat to 180°, forming a 1.8-metre "camping bed".

Safety & ADAS

Intelligent driving is a key competitive strength of the Leapmotor B10. The LiDAR edition is equipped with a Hesai 128-line LiDAR sensor (with up to 300-metre detection range and a 140° field of view), powered by a Qualcomm SA8650 ADAS chip and a suite of 27 perception sensors around the vehicle. Leveraging Leapmotor’s self-developed end-to-end AI large model architecture, the system supports advanced capabilities including Highway Pilot Assist, Urban Pilot Assist, Commute Pilot Assist, and Automated Parking. In May 2026, Leapmotor rolled out its nationwide Urban Navigation Pilot Assist feature to all LiDAR-equipped models via an over-the-air (OTA) update, officially making high-level autonomous driving accessible in the RM100,000 segment. Active safety includes full-speed adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keep assist (LKA), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and driver fatigue monitoring as standard across the range. On the passive safety front, it packs multiple airbags and a high-strength body shell, alongside a collapsible steering column designed with over 60mm of directional crash stroke.

Market Performance & Reception

The Leapmotor B10 has recorded strong sales momentum since its launch in April 2025, racking up 92,508 units in cumulative sales within just nine months of launch. By the end of May 2026, cumulative global deliveries of Leapmotor's B-series duo (the B10 and B01) surpassed 200,000 units. In May 2026 alone, the Leapmotor B10 achieved monthly sales of 9,966 units, bringing its year-to-date total to 34,031 units. Leapmotor as a brand continues its robust upward trajectory, delivering 81,569 vehicles in May 2026 as it pushes towards its ambitious 1,000,000-unit annual sales target for 2026.

Motoring media reviews highlight that the B10’s core edge lies in democratising premium equipment such as LiDAR and dual flagship Qualcomm chipsets down to the RM100,000 price bracket, coupled with class-above chassis dynamics and clever packaging. Its end-to-end AI-driven ADAS delivers mature, smooth urban navigation assistance with natural throttle and braking inputs and decisive lane choices. On the flip side, some interior touchpoints carry noticeable hard plastics, particularly on entry-level specs. Nonetheless, backed by its RWD layout, front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension, LiDAR-based advanced ADAS, 14.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen, and dual AI voice integration, the Leapmotor B10 firmly cements its unique value proposition of "accessible intelligence" in the RM100,000 to RM130,000 pure electric SUV segment.
